Post: Scientist-'B' (equivalent to Group-A), Pay Level 10 (7th CPC). Disciplines: Computer Science & IT, Data Science & AI, Electronics & Communication Engineering.
Total Vacancies: 133 (tentative; may increase or decrease at CERT-In's discretion).
Eligibility: B.Tech/B.E./M.Tech in relevant engineering discipline OR M.Sc/MCA in CS/IT/related field. GATE 2024, 2025 or 2026 scorecard (any one or best) mandatory for shortlisting. Age: Up to 30 years (UR/EWS), 33 years (OBC), 35 years (SC/ST) as on the cutoff date. All India Service Liability (including possible posting abroad).
Salary: Pay Level 10 — Basic ₹56,100 to ₹1,77,500. In-hand ~₹90,000–₹1,05,000/month in X-class cities with DA (60%), HRA (24%), and other central government allowances.
Selection Process: Shortlisting based on GATE score (1:5 ratio, discipline/category-wise) → Document Verification → Personal Interaction/Interview. Final merit: 60% GATE score + 40% Interview.
