Job Details
Post: Short Service Commission Officer (NCC Special Entry) — Lieutenant rank. Duration: 14-year SSC tenure with Permanent Commission option.
Unique Benefit: No SSB (Services Selection Board) interview required — selection is based on NCC 'C' Certificate grade and academic merit. This is a direct entry route for NCC cadets into the Indian Army.
Eligibility: Bachelor's Degree (any discipline) with minimum 50% marks from a recognised university. Valid NCC 'C' Certificate with minimum 'B' Grade: Army Wing (for Infantry/Artillery/Engineers etc.), Naval Wing (for Corps of Signals/EME etc.), or Air Wing (for AAD/ASC etc.). Only unmarried male candidates. Age: 19–25 years.
Salary: Pay Level 10 (Lieutenant) — ₹56,100 basic + MSP ₹15,500 = ₹71,600 minimum. With DA (60%), HRA, Ration, Kit, Field allowances: In-hand approx. ₹80,000 – ₹1,00,000/month. Captain (after 2 years): ₹61,300 basic.
Selection: Merit list based on NCC 'C' Certificate grade + graduation marks + medical fitness (no SSB interview).
