Indian Overseas Bank has released 750 Bank Apprentice vacancies across India under the Apprentices Act. Graduates can apply online by 27 July 2026 (last date extended). This is a 1-year apprenticeship, not permanent employment.
Job Details
Organisation: Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) | Nature: Apprenticeship under the Apprentices Act, 1961 (1-year contract; NOT a permanent job).
Post: Bank Apprentice – assisting in various bank branch operations including customer service, cash handling, data entry, and clerical tasks.
Eligibility: Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognised university. Age: 20–28 years (as per official notification). Proficiency in local language of the state preferred.
Stipend: ₹15,000 per month (fixed monthly stipend for the 1-year apprenticeship period; no DA/HRA/allowances applicable).
Note: Apprenticeship does NOT guarantee permanent employment. However, it provides valuable banking experience and is often used as a stepping stone for future bank recruitment.
Selection Process: Merit-based selection on educational qualification marks → Document Verification.
