Jammu & Kashmir Services Selection Board has released 288 Warder vacancies for the J&K Prisons Department. 10th pass candidates from J&K domicile can apply online from 27 July 2026.

Organisation: JKSSB | Department: Jails/Prisons, J&K UT.
Post: Warder (Prison Guard) – Class-IV / Group-D equivalent post in the prison establishment of Jammu & Kashmir.
Eligibility: Matriculation (10th Pass) from a recognised board. J&K domicile certificate mandatory. Age: As per JKSSB rules for J&K UT domicile candidates; age relaxation as per GoI/J&K UT rules.
Physical Standards: Height, chest, and weight standards as per the post requirements; Physical Efficiency Test (PET) likely included.
Salary: Pay Level 2 (7th CPC) — Basic ₹19,900 to ₹63,200 per month + DA and other J&K UT government allowances.
Selection Process: Written Examination → Physical Efficiency Test → Document Verification → Medical Examination.
