Railway Recruitment Boards have released 4098 Junior Engineer (JE), JE-IT, Depot Material Superintendent (DMS), and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA) vacancies. Applications open with last date 13 September 2026.
Job Details
Organisation: RRBs (21 boards) | Posts: Junior Engineer (JE) – Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, ECE, IT; JE (IT); Depot Material Superintendent (DMS); Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA).
Eligibility: JE/JE-IT/DMS: Diploma (3-year) OR B.E./B.Tech in relevant engineering stream from a recognised institution. CMA: B.Sc in Chemistry/Metallurgy or equivalent. Age: 18–33 years (General); GoI relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/EXS.
Salary: JE/JE-IT/DMS: Pay Level 6 — Basic ₹35,400; CMA: Pay Level 5 — Basic ₹29,200. In-hand with DA (60%), HRA and TA: ₹44,000–₹52,000/month for JE level.
Selection: CBT 1 (100 MCQs, 90 min) → CBT 2 (150 MCQs, 120 min) → Document Verification → Medical Examination. Negative marking: 1/3 per wrong answer in both CBTs.
Application Fee: ₹500 for General/OBC/EWS (₹400 refundable); ₹250 for SC/ST/PwBD/Female/EXS (fully refundable after CBT attendance).
